We have 30 comfortable, light, and well equipped en-suite bedrooms. There are 10 bedrooms on the ground floor, some with patio doors to the gardens, and 20 bedrooms on the first floor. 

Each room is equipped with the following, as standard:

· A clinically advanced profiling/nursing care bed and comfort mattress.

· A lockable bedside cabinet with key.

· A working telephone for internal and external UK calls.

· A television and stereo system.

· A dressing table with chest of drawers, mirror, and chair.

· A built-in wardrobe.

· Two fire-safe armchairs.

· En-suite shower room with shower, toilet, wash basin, towel rail, safety bars, and basic toiletries.

There are four communal areas indoors with ample comfortable seating - The Conservatory, The Dining Room, The McInnes Lounge and The Bechshaw Lounge. 

Residents are free to use any room at any time and, with three of the rooms having televisions and activities taking place regularly, we’re sure you will always find somewhere to relax or something to enjoy. 

The Dining Room is a lovely open space - perfect for group activities and social dining - while the McInnes Lounge lends itself to quiet afternoons in front of a good film. The Conservatory is bright and airy with a self-serve drinks station, and The Bechshaw Lounge is a great space for small parties or family gatherings.

All of your meals, drinks and snacks are included in your care package at Hartland House, meaning that you can enjoy all the things you do at home without having to cook or wash up! A cuppa brought to you in your room first thing in a morning, a delicious meal in the dining room, or a nice glass of red in an evening; whatever you fancy is yours. 

With regular drinks and snacks trolleys doing the rounds throughout the day and meals served in the dining room or the comfort of your bedroom - whichever you prefer - you don't need to worry about going hungry! 

Bacon & eggs, homemade cakes and treats, traditional Sunday roasts, and fish & chip Fridays are often popular choices at Hartland House and are served regularly as part of a balanced diet and varied menu.

At Hartland House, we know that managing medication can be difficult, especially when you have multiple meds due at various times of the day. 

Our highly trained senior team are on hand 24/7 to sign in, store, manage and administer any medication you're prescribed, giving you one less thing to worry about. 

If you're comfortable with or prefer to manage your own medication, that's absolutely fine - every bedroom has lockable storage for your own use - and our staff can support you in any way necessary to ensure you're getting the right medication at the right time. 

For residents with Alzheimer's disease or other types of dementia, we offer person centred support and specialised activities to promote emotional wellbeing. Our home has been renovated to not only look beautiful but promote independence and comfort for those living with dementia. All of our staff have taken part in various dementia training courses and understand how best to support individuals living with dementia, as well as their family and friends.

Every bedroom at Hartland House is fitted with two Nobi Smart Lights - one in the bedroom area and one in the bathroom. These lights are incredible pieces of technology that use AI to reduce falls by up to 80%.

We are very lucky at Hartland House to be so close to some beautiful countryside; with Dallam Park and its herd of fallow deer just across the road, and being only a short drive away from the breath taking Lake District, you won't have to travel far to enjoy all the countryside has to offer!

If you prefer to stay closer to home, our lovely gardens are the perfect place to relax with a cuppa, catch up with friends, or to enjoy an ice cream in the summer sun. 

To the front of the property there is a lovely, secluded little patio area with bench seating and, to the rear, a number of inclusive, wheelchair accessible, picnic benches along with a cosy summerhouse for those chillier days.
